President Receives Ambassador of Egypt to Armenia
President Serzh Sargsyan today received Muhammad Ala-ad-Din Saad El-Leissy, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Armenia, who was paying his farewell visit.
The RA President extended his gratitude to Mr. Saad El-Leissy for his efforts towards the development of Armenian-Egyptian relations in the high capacity of the ambassador and wished him every success.
Serzh Sargsyan stated with satisfaction that during Ambassador Saad El-Leissy’s tenure the interstate bilateral relations had been intensified, the cooperation agenda had been enlarged, the meetings on the level of the presidents and prime ministers had taken place, and thus the path was paved for deepening and strengthening the relations even more. The President expressed hope that the upcoming Ambassador of Egypt to Armenia would make the utmost use of those prerequisites fulfilling his duties with renewed vigor and determination to the benefit of the two friendly countries and peoples.
Ambassador Saad El-Leissy thanked the President for the kind words and appraisal, assuring that during his four and a half years long tenure he had done his best to develop the relations between Armenia and Egypt. He said he was leaving the country with warm memories, ensuring that he would stay the friend of Armenia forever.
