President Serzh Sargsyan submits draft Cosntitutional reforms to the RA National Assembly

RA President Serzh Sargsyan today submitted the draft constitutional reforms, elaborated by the Specialised Commission on Constitutional Reforms adjunct to the President of the Republic of Armenia, to the RA National Assembly.

Vardan Poghosyan, a member of the Specialised Commission on Constitutional Reforms adjunct to the President of the Republic of Armenia, was appointed as the official representative of the RA President at the RA National Assembly on the issues of constitutional reforms.

RA President Serzh Sargsyan is planning to start consultations with the representatives of political parties over the approaches stipulated in the Draft Constitutional Reforms from the next week on.

Concurrently, the RA President instructed the Specialised Commission on Constitutional Reforms adjunct to the President of the Republic of Armenia to continue the dialogue with the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) over the issues specified in the latter’s preliminary opinion that have not been reached mutually acceptable solutions over yet.
