President looks into construction status of multifamily resident in Kanaker-Zeytun and takes part in groundbreaking of training complex in Avan
RA President Serzh Sargsyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the YSU Graduate Union, today looked into the status of a social security housing program which is being implemented by YSU Graduate Union NGO in the administrative district of Kanaker-Zeytun. The Armenian President, accompanied by the Yerevan mayor, the head of the administrative district and the people in charge of the program, visited some typical apartments of the Zeytun 1 resident which is being constructed on 8 and 8/1 Paruyr Sevak Street within the frame of the program Affordable Housing for Young Scientists and Creative Union Members. Then, the President familiarized himself with the projects and the ongoing construction works of the Zeytun 2 resident that is being built on the adjacent area within the frame of the program Affordable Housing for Young Specialists.
In the administrative district of Avan, Serzh Sargsyan was introduced to the status of the Avan 4 and Avan 5 housing construction projects that are being carried out on Tsarav Aghbyur Street within the frame of the same social security housing program.
The total value of the low-priced multifamily-multifunctional residents being built by YSU Graduate Union NGO for young specialists of different areas, i.e. lecturers and researchers, journalists, pedagogues of general education schools, doctors and sportsman, RA NAS young researchers and artists, young specialists from banking, information technology and telecommunications, the Matenadaran and the national picture-gallery, civil servants and community workers, comprises 38.315.056.828 AMD and the total number of apartments is 1795.
In the administrative district of Avan, President Serzh Sargsyan attended the groundbreaking ceremony of a training complex to be built on Tsarav Aghbyur Street. The ceremony was joined by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee of OAO Gazprom and Vardan Harutyunyan, Director-General and Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom Armenia CJSC. The project is being implemented within the frame of the Gazprom for Children Program. The construction project, whose preliminary value amounts to 49,3 million USD, will be entirely carried out by Gazprom OAO. The complex, which occupies a total area of 31 841 sq. m, will include a kinder garden, a school, a swimming pool, a rink, a football field, as well as gyms and a dance-hall. According to the project, the training complex can serve about 2000 people daily. More than 230 jobs are to be created for the exploitation and maintenance of the objects inside the complex.
Shortly after the construction, the Municipality of Yerevan will build a 5500-square-meter park on the mentioned area.
