RA President Serzh Sargsyan holds phone call with RF President Vladimir Putin
RA President Serzh Sargsyan today held a phone call with RF President Vladimir Putin. The Russian President once again extended his condolences to the relatives of the victims of the Gyumri tragedy and the entire people of Armenia.
Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that a comprehensive and effective investigation will be conducted and the transgressors will be punished by law.
President Serzh Sargsyan underscored that Armenian law-enforcement bodies will actively continue taking the necessary measures aimed at fully revealing all the details in the case. In this regard, the Armenian and Russian heads attached great importance on promoting close cooperation between the two countries’ law-enforcement bodies.
The RF President expressed the hope that the best doctors of Armenia and Russia will make every effort to help Seryozha Avetisyan – the only member of the Avetisyans to survive – recover. Vladimir Putin also expressed readiness to send a special Russian medical helicopter to Armenia in order to transfer the child to Moscow for further treatment.
Presidents Sargsyan and Putin also discussed a number of issues concerning the agenda of the Armenian-Russian relations.
The phone call took place on the initiative of the Russian side.
