President participates in reception held at Central Bank in celebration of New Year and Christmas

President Serzh Sargsyan today took part in a reception held at the RA Central Bank in celebration of New Year and Christmas. The Armenian President congratulated the Central Bank and all banking sector employees and their families on the occasion of the upcoming holidays, wished health, success and happiness to them, as well as peace to our country.

In his congratulatory speech, the President touched upon the recent developments in the money market, their impact on the economy, the effective measures taken during the given period and the upcoming programs. Serzh Sargsyan underscored that Armenia has sufficient reserves, as well as the will and determination to ensure financial stability in the country. The Armenian President placed great value on making concerted efforts to respond to challenges in times of difficulty, reminding the RA banking sector’s effective and successful activity during the previous crisis at the same time when banking sectors of a series of other countries faced great difficulties. Serzh Sargsyan underlined that today there are plenty of opportunities to tackle the current issues and ensure financial stability.
