President Serzh Sargsyan receives OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs

President Serzh Sargsyan today received the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minks Group Igor Popov (Russia), Pierre Andrieu (France), the assistant of the US Co-Chair David Salvo and the Personal Representative of the Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.

At the meeting issues concerning further steps towards the peace process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, including the tripartite meeting between the French, Armenian and Azeri Presidents to be held in Paris at the end of October this year were discussed. Present issues hindering the negotiation process were touched upon. In that context President Serzh Sargsyan expressed concern about Azerbaijan’s destructive approach especially before high-level negotiations.

The Armenian President reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to joining the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs’ efforts aimed at settling the conflict through peace negotiations.
