On behalf of President Serzh Sargsyan an official supper was held in honor of the President of Georgia
This evening, on behalf of President Serzh Sargsyan an official supper was held in honor of the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili who had arrived in the Republic of Armenia on an official visit.
In their reciprocal toasts, Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Giorgi Margvelashvili touched upon the centuries-old friendship of the Armenian and Georgian peoples and their historical past full of many similarities, the present high level of the two neighbor countries’ relations and the development opportunities of the continuous advancement and the mutually beneficial cooperation of those relations. Serzh Sargsyan and Giorgi Margvelashvili stressed that during all the events of the history the Armenian and Georgian peoples stood side by side, in most cases even together, and after the declaration of independence, Armenia and Georgia develop the interstate relations on the solid basis of the friendship of the two peoples.
President Margvelashvili expressed his gratitude to President Serzh Sargsyan for the warm hospitality and for the friendly atmosphere existing in Yerevan today. The President of Georgia assured that such an atmosphere will also be present in Tbilisi when the President of Armenia visits Georgia on his invitation.
The Presidents of Armenia and Georgia raised a toast in the name of the further reinforcement of the cooperation between Armenia and Georgia, in the name of peace between the two states, as well as the welfare of the brotherly peoples.
