The newly appointed Ambassador of Benin to Armenia presented his credentials to the President
Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Benin to the Republic of Armenia Aniset Gabriel Kochofa (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.
The President congratulated Ambassador Kochofa on his appointment and wished him success. Serzh Sargsyan noted that Armenia stresses the importance of political dialogue and interaction with the countries of the African region, including Benin.
The parties expressed hope that it will be possible to fully utilize the unrealized potential of the cooperation in a list of mutually beneficial spheres – economic, scientific educational, cultural etc. for the benefit of the two countries after the formation of the legal contractual field directed to the development of cooperation.
The RA President and the Ambassador of Benin agreed that the mutual collaboration in the framework of the African Union where Armenia has an observer status, is another important platform for the consolidation of bilateral relations.
Serzh Sargsyan also spoke about the importance of cooperation in the framework of international organizations, expressing hope that from now on the Republic of Benin will also display its balanced approach to the issues vital for Armenia.
