The newly appointed Ambassador of Denmark to Armenia presented her credentials to the President
Today, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Armenia Merete Yuhl (residence in Kiev) presented her credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.
The President congratulated the Ambassador on assuming her post and wished every success in her work for the benefit of further development and strengthening of the Armenian-Danish relations.
The President of Armenia underscored that Armenia attaches importance to the Armenian-Danish relations and cooperation in different areas and is interested in expanding and deepening interstate relations with the Kingdom of Denmark. According to the President it is proved by the opening in 2011 of the Armenian Embassy in Copenhagen.
Ambassador Merete Yuhl welcomed and stressed the importance of establishing the Embassy of Armenia in Denmark and underlined that it is important for her country as well and clearly signals that Armenia is willing to further relations with Denmark. She assured the President of Armenia that considering the existing great potential, during her tenure she would do her best to promote, strengthen and develop bilateral relations.
Discussed was also the issue of deepening the Armenian-Danish relations in the framework of the Armenia-EU cooperation.
