President received the President of the RF Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretyak

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the President of the Hockey Federation of the Russian Federation, member of the RF State Duma, holder of the Best Hockey Player of the 20th Century title Vladislav Tretyak.

The President of Armenia welcomed the celebrated guest to Armenia noting that especially representatives of the older generation remember well Vladislav Tretyak and other legendary sportsmen of the Soviet era whose spectacular victories created numerous great moments for feeling proud. Serzh Sargsyan expressed satisfaction with the desire and readiness of the RF Hockey Federation to cooperate with the RA Sport and Youth Issues Ministry and Hockey Federation to develop in Armenia hockey and other winter sports.

Vladislav Tretyak, who is conducting his first visit to Armenia, which in turn coincided with the celebrations dedicated to the 2795th anniversary of Yerevan, noted that he was pleasantly surprised with the warm hospitality of the residents of the Armenian capital, with their words of appreciation and honor addressed to him. Stressing that the Armenian-Russian cooperation in all areas is deepening and strengthening by year, Vladislav Tretyak noted that he would be happy to assist in the development and deepening of cooperation with the RF in sports and winter sports in particular.
