President received the Chairman of the World Armenian Congress and the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamian

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the Chairman of the World Armenian Congress and the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamian.

Ara Abrahamian presented to the President of Armenia various events organized on October 9-13 in Armenia and Artsakh in the framework of the Days of the World Armenian Congress and the Union of Armenians of Russia, charity programs implemented by that all-Armenian structure every year in two Armenian states and distributed awards, initiatives aimed at the preservation of the Armenian identity carried out in Spyurk, as well as assistance in the realization of all-national programs. Ara Abrahamian noted that the structure headed by him holds in the center of its attention also youth-related problems since they are of strategic importance.

In this context, Ara Abrahamian spoke with the President of Armenia about issues and the preset plan of actions discussed at today’s conference of the Association of Youth Organizations of the World Armenian Congress and at the meeting held these days with the members of the youth parliament. All this, according to Ara Abrahamian, is aimed at uniting the Armenian youth for the realization of all-Armenian objectives and interests, enhancement of cooperation among the young people, ensuring a greater role for the youth and their greater involvement in all-Armenian initiatives.

The President welcomed and hailed activities of the World Armenian Congress and the Union of Armenians of Russia and underscored that activities carried out by that all-Armenian structure are important for Armenia’s empowerment, unity of the Armenians spread all over the world, including the young people, and strengthening of Armenia-Spyurk relations. Serzh Sargsyan expressed readiness to continue to support the structure in its implementation of all-Armenian projects.

Ara Abrahamian expressed gratitude to the President for his constant support to the programs of the Congress and Union and stressed the importance of the efficient cooperation with the state bodies and other all-Armenian structures.
