President Sargsyan attended the ceremony of opening the Tufenkian Traditional Yerevan hotel compound

President Serzh Sargsyan attended today the ceremony of opening the Tufenkian Traditional Yerevan hotel compound. This is the fourth hotel built in Armenia in the framework of the Tufenkian Traditional Hotel program. The President of Armenia toured the compound, familiarized with the conditions of the hotel created in line with the international standards and old traditions, observed the quality of the services and inquired about new jobs.

During the tour, the President was informed that the Tufenkian Traditional Yerevan hotel compound was created with the participation of well-known Armenian and American architects and designers. The hotel style, interior, furniture, and kitchen reflect the ideology of the Tufenkian Company, i.e. to provide contemporary comfort and high standard requirements preserving at the same time old traditional style. The Hotel is constructed in black tuff with the inclusions of orange tuff which is inherent to the capital’s architectural style of late 19th and early 20th century.

It was noted that through the implementation of the projects like this one, the Tufenkian Hospitality Company aims at the creation of the traditional hotel system in which Armenia’s nature, millennia old culture and traditions, as well as high international standards will present a harmonious entirety and accordingly will contribute to the economic and cultural development of the adjacent areas. Another objective of the program is to introduce Armenia to the foreigners with her oldest traditions, architecture, crafts, historical and cultural monuments, picturesque landscape, and traditional cuisine.

The President of Armenia congratulated the Tufenkian Hospitality Company on the occasion of the opening of the compound, welcomed initiatives like this one and wished the Company success in the implementation of its future projects.
