Newly appointed Russian Ambassador hands credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan
Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Ivan Volynkin presented today his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.
Congratulating the Ambassador on appointment, the President wished him every success in this highly responsible position and expressed the hope that during his term in office, Ambassador Volynkin would make every effort to further strengthen the Armenian-Russian high-level political relations and help expand interaction between the two countries.
Serzh Sargsyan stressed that Armenia’s relations with Russia - our strategic ally - have been deepening year after year in all fields, including political, economic, military-technical and humanitarian. Successfully developing is the cooperation within the CSTO, CIS and other international organizations.
The newly appointed Ambassador assured that under his leadership all the Embassy staff will endeavor to build on the ties of brotherhood between Russia and Armenia.
Noting that the Russian-Armenian strategic partnership stands out for unprecedented level of mutual understanding, Ambassador Volynkin emphasized that the high dynamics of bilateral relations was conducive to a multifaceted and constructive political dialog, upheld by continued political dialog between the two heads of State, as well as by frequent contacts and mutual visits paid at various levels.
