President received the newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia Bradley Busetto
President Serzh Sargsyan received today the newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia Bradley Busetto.
The President of Armenia congratulated Bradley Busetto on his appointment and expressed hope that with his considerable work experience with international structures, Bradley Busetto will give a new impetus to the Armenia-UN cooperation. According to Serzh Sargsyan, the last year celebration of the 20th anniversary of the UN activities in Armenia provided the opportunity to assess and weigh considerable work carried out by the Office in the last two decades which allows to state with confidence that throughout that period the UN Yerevan Office has been an active supporter and partner of the government of Armenia.
At the meeting, the parties spoke about Armenia’s priorities and programs in the coming years. The UN Resident Coordinator stated with satisfaction that priorities mentioned by President Sargsyan fully reflect objectives and priorities set by the UN which will make the cooperation even more efficient and closer. Bradley Busetto assured that during his tenure in office, he would do his best to further strengthen the Armenia-UN cooperation, to ensure Armenia’s sustainable development and consolidation of democracy.
