President received delegation of the Social Democratic Hunchakian Party headed by the Chairman of the Central Board Sedrak Ajemian

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the Chairman of the Central Board of SDHP Sedrak Ajemian, member of Board Vazgen Kaltakjian and Chairman of the Armenian Board of the Party Gevork Perkuperkian.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Central Board of the SDHP on behalf of the ruling body of his Party and his own behalf congratulated President Serzh Sargsyan on his re-election and wished him success in his second term in office. Sedrak Ajemian hailed activities of Serzh Sargsyan and the government of Armenia, underscoring that despite the existing numerous problems, which Serzh Sargsyan was highlighting throughout his re-election campaign, Armenia has been moving successfully down the road of reformation and considerable work has already been accomplished. The Chairman of the Central Board of the SDHP said the February 18 elections compared to previous elections have registered several steps forward and the fact received positive response also by the international community.

Sedrak Ajemian spoke with appreciation about the policies implemented in Armenia under the President’s leadership regarding Syrian Armenians, great attention toward our compatriots, assistance and care provide to them.

Noting that the Armenian nation still has tough challenges to overcome, the representatives of the SDHP stressed the importance of unity in resolving pan-Armenian issues and reiterated the Party’s readiness to continue to assist the authorities in addressing these issues for the benefit of our people and our state.
The President of Armenia expressed thanks for the congratulations and the assessment and underlined that he highly values the historic role of the traditional parties, including the SDHP’s in the resolution of the national issues and views as important the Party’s readiness to cooperate.
