His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia Kirill sent a congratulatory message to President Serzh Sargsyan.

Accept my heartfelt congratulations on Your victory in the RA presidential elections. The peoples have once again manifested their trust in You which testifies to the high assessment of Your activities conducted at the responsible position of the head of state.

In recent years, Armenia has been moving steadily down the road of economic and social development. Much has also been done for enforcing stability in the South Caucasus. It is gratifying to see Your desire to solve the problems existing in the region through the diplomatic means rather than force.

I would like to specially underline good relations between the Armenian people and the nations led by the Russian Orthodox Church.
