President of the Russian Federation V. Putin congratulated the President-elect Serzh Sargsyan
After the announcement of the preliminary official results for the RA presidential elections, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin made a telephone call to President Serzh Sargsyan. During the conversation, he congratulated Serzh Sargsyan on his convincing victory and wished success. He also wished peace, stability and prosperity to Armenia and the friendly Armenian people.
The President of the Russian Federation expressed confidence that under the leadership of the newly elected President Serzh Sargsyan, the Armenian-Russian strategic partnership and bilateral relations, which deepen and strengthen by year, will continue to develop in the same spirit.
Vladimir Putin has also sent a congratulatory message to the President of Armenia.
The congratulatory message of the President of Russia reads:
“The results of the elections testify to the high repute You enjoy among the population and its active support to the social, economic and foreign policies conducted under Your leadership.
I am confident that guided by the principles of the allied partnership, we will continue to strengthen through our joint efforts the Armenian-Russian relations for the benefit of our two countries and preservation of stability and security in the South Caucasus.
