Serzh Sargsyan conducted a meeting with the participation of the heads of the law enforcement bodies

President Serzh Sargsyan conducted today a meeting with the participation of the heads of the law enforcement bodies related to the personal security of all presidential candidates in the framework of the election process as well as to the ensuring their full and equal participation in the elections.

Discussed were, in particular, constitutional, legal and international guarantees for the RA presidential candidates’ normal political activities as well as the most practical and efficient implementation of the responsibilities assumed by the state and aimed at the fulfillment of these guarantees.

At the meeting, the Head of the RA National Security Service (NSS) provided information on the process of the preliminary investigation conducted in the framework of the criminal case filed in connection with the assassination attempt against the RA presidential candidate Paruyr Hairkian. The Head of the NSS noted that the investigation has already yielded some results which allow to take concrete steps to thoroughly clarify all significant circumstances of the case.

The President of Armenia expressed satisfaction with the work conducted by the law enforcement bodies in connection with this case.
