President Serzh Sargsyan received the USSR People’s Artist Iosif Kobzon

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the USSR People’s Artist Iosif Kobzon, who has arrived to Armenia in the framework of his 75th birth anniversary tour.

The President of Armenia welcomed the guest in our country, congratulated on his jubilee and noted that in Armenia, we are always happy to host a beloved and talented singer who has many admirers not only in our but also in many other countries and who is without doubt is a good friend of the Armenian people.

Serzh Sargsyan underscored that we are proud with I. Kobzon’s loyalty to his great friendship with Arno Babajanian which is also manifested in the warm words spoken by Iosif Kobzon about the great Armenian composer on every due occasion.

I. Kobzon thanked the President of Armenia for the warm hospitality and words of appreciation. He conveyed to the President his impressions regarding his current visit to Armenia, Armenian youth and Armenian musicians who participated in his November 22 charity concert, and who according to the renowned performer extended him a very warm welcome.
