President Serzh Sargsyan received the Vice President of the German Bundestag Wolfgang Thierse

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the Vice President of the German Bundestag Wolfgang Thierse.

Serzh Sargsyan underscored that Armenia attaches utmost importance to the Armenian-German relations and continuous development of mutually beneficial cooperation. According to President Sargsyan, high-level reciprocal visits and opportunities to discuss cooperation in different areas considerably boost the bilateral relations, sending positive signals to political figures, business community and to the peoples of the two countries in general. President Sargsyan expressed hope that visit of the Vice President Wolfgang Thierse will serve as another impetus for the development of the Armenian-German relations and particularly for the deepening of the interparliamentary cooperation.

Wolfgang Thierse spoke with satisfaction about the Armenian-German political dialogue and cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations twenty years ago and underscored that contacts between the FRG Bundestag and RA National Assembly should be intensified. According Wolfgang Thierse it will allow the German deputes to get an accurate picture of Armenia and regional issues.

The interlocutors discussed also issues related to regional problems and existing challenges.
