Today, the newly appointed Ambassador of Hungary Sandor Szabo presented his credential to the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.
President Sargsyan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished his success.
The parties concurred that Armenia and Hungary have a high level political relations and in recent years the two countries have been striving to further strengthen relations and deepen cooperation in different areas, which was also boosted by the state visit of the President of Armenia to Hungary in 2009.
The interlocutors noted that economic relations of the two countries are still lagging behind while they possess great potential and there are good opportunities to develop them.
Ambassador Sandor Szabo assured that during his tenure he would do his best to use that potential and to invigorate the Armenian-Hungarian economic relations.
At the meeting, the parties discussed also possibilities of developing cooperation in the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership program.
