President Serzh Sargsyan conducted today a working visit to Armavir marz.
The President of Armenia participated at the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Noyan fruit and vegetable processing plant at the Vanand community in Baghramian region. Here, the President was informed on the results of the company’s activities and prospective development plans of the company in that area.
It was noted that the construction of the plant is to be concluded this summer. It will augment Noyan’s assortment of natural juices and will produce blends and mixtures for baby food as well as tomato and pepper paste. High-tech equipment, quality of the concentrate and fine working conditions bring the future plant in line with the European standards. Steady supply of raw materials will allow the plant to double its production if there is an increased demand for the plant’s production - the plant has capacities to enlarge its production units and storage.
The President of Armenia visited also Vanand’s secondary school. Serzh Sargsyan toured the renovated premise of the school and familiarized with the completion phase of the construction works. The renovation of the 1st unit of the school built in 1986 was done through the financing of the Armenia’s Fund for Social Investments and co-financing of the community. The school is also equipped with computers and laboratorial devises.
In Echmiadzin - the administrative center of the marz, the President visited the Amster Flowers and Biza Armenian-Dutch joint enterprises, toured the enlarged territory for the mushroom production and a newly constructed greenhouse. President Sargsyan visited these enterprises also last April in the framework of his working visit to Armavir marz. At the previous visit, the President was briefed on the future programs and told that Biza was planning to increase its production, while Amster Flowers was planning to build new high-tech greenhouses.
At the presentation of the works already conducted in that area, it was noted that construction of a new greenhouse by Amster Flowers has already been concluded and first production will be launched on January 20. The greenhouse has been designed and built in line with the latest European high technologies, equipped with modern devised, European computers. Meanwhile, Biza in January has already started the construction of the second mushroom production unit, which is to be finished in September. It was also noted that after the second unit becomes operational, Biza will increase production and supplies to the internal market as well as its export volumes.
