The farewell ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace for the President of the Republic of Lebanon Michel Suleiman
The farewell ceremony took place today at the Presidential Palace for the President of the Republic of Lebanon Michel Suleiman who has been in our country of official visit.
At a brief meeting, which took place before the official farewell ceremony, the leaders of the two countries summarized results of the visit. President Serzh Sargsyan underscored that the meeting with the President of Lebanon proved once again that the two friendly countries have common interests, issues and points of contact, as well as willingness to constantly strengthen existing friendship. According to the President of Armenia, President Suleiman’s visit to Armenia has been a step in that direction. President Sargsyan expressed hope that he would meet with the President of Lebanon in the nearest future, sending thus a message to all interested parties that the two countries are ready to constantly strengthen the existing warm relations.
The President of the Republic of Lebanon Michel Suleiman expressed gratitude for the warm reception and noted that the Lebanese side will be persistent in the implementation of the agreements signed during this visit, and said that all relevant state bodies will be assigned with the corresponding task. For his part, Michel Suleiman has also expressed confidence that his official visit to Armenia will become a new impetus for the invigoration and strengthening of the Armenian-Lebanese relations in all areas.
