The newly appointed Ambassador of Senegal in the Republic of Armenia presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Senegal in the Republic of Armenia Mamadou Salious Diouf (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The President of Armenia congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in our country and wished him success. Noting, that Armenia attaches importance to the cooperation with the African Union, which is strengthening its positions in Africa and also in the world, Serzh Sargsyan said that Senegal’s, which is an active member of the Union, participation to the peacekeeping operations and its constant position of favoring peace and cooperation is laudable.

The parties stressed the importance of cooperation in the framework of international organizations, including the Organization of Francophonie, which according to the interlocutors, could become a good prerequisite for the development and strengthening of bilateral relations.

President Serzh Sargsyan and the Ambassador of Senegal discussed also regional issues.
