President Serzh Sargsyan received the newly appointed the IMF Head of Mission in Armenia Mark Horton
President Serzh Sargsyan received today the newly appointed the IMF Head of Mission in Armenia Mark Horton and IMF Resident Representative in Armenia Guillermo Tolos.
President Sargsyan discussed with the Head of Mission the main direction of the economic policy, measures and prospects for the development of the RA economy.
Mark Horton presented to the President of Armenia the process of implementation of the IMF Extended Financing and Extended Credit three-year program and results of the IMF mission’s visit.
“Last time the mission visited Armenia in March and I should say that the situation compared to March is quite different. Back then, inflation was growing rapidly. Now, I think there is no need to speak about inflation because I see how fast the inflation rate is dropping. You have been able to quickly take measures and there have also been positive developments in the agriculture sector, and I congratulate you on it,” Mark Horton said.
