President Serzh Sargsyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Armenia
Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Thailand to the Republic of Armenia Chalermpol Tanchit (residence in Moscow).
The President congratulated the Ambassador on assuming his diplomatic mission in our country and wished him success. Serzh Sargsyan reiterated interest of Armenia in developing and strengthening multifaceted relations with the Kingdom of Thailand. “Our countries established diplomatic relations almost twenty years ago. During that period of time, we have had reciprocal high level visits and certain work aimed at the strengthening of bilateral relations has already been done. We are ready and interested to continue political dialogue with Thailand and develop relations in economic, trade and cultural areas,” President Sargsyan said.
The parties stressed the importance of creating legal field which will enhance the development of bilateral relations not only on the state level but also for the private sector.
The Ambassador of Thailand noted that when he visits Yerevan again in September to participate at the festive events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence, he is planning along with a delegation comprising representatives of the cultural area of Thailand to take certain steps to unfold cooperation in that area.
