President Serzh Sargsyan received the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Vladimir Litvin
President Serzh Sargsyan received today the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Vladimir Litvin.
Welcoming the guest, President Sargsyan noted that in the last two weeks this is his second meeting with the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukriane which testifies to the mutual desire to invigorate bilateral relations and raise them to a qualitatively new level. The President expressed hope that Mr. Litvin’s visit would become an additional impetus for the development and strengthening of bilateral relations.
Mr. Litvin assessed his meetings held in the framework of the visit as rather productive and informed President Sargsyan that an agreement has been reached with the leadership of the National Assembly and Chairmen of the Commissions to cooperate actively at the parliamentary level to call to life agreements reached by Presidents Sargsyan and Yanukovich for the benefit of two peoples and two countries.
The parties highlighted the importance of the work of the friendship groups in the parliaments as well as parliamentary cooperation in the framework of different international organizations.
