On the occasion of Republic’s Day, President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree to reward nominees from the areas of science, education, culture, arts, economy, and health care with the high state awards – orders and medals, as well as to grant honorary titles. Today, President Serzh Sargsyan handed the awards to the recipients and congratulated them on this occasion and Republic’s Day.
Congratulatory remarks by President Serzh Sargsyan at the award ceremony
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I congratulate you on the occasion of Republic’s Day.
I extend special congratulations to those, who today receive high state awards and honorary titles.
Dear Awardees,
Your contribution and input to the development or our culture, education, science and comprehensive development of our society in general is great. Dignified future of our society and our people is shaped predominantly by you. It is thank to you and those like you that we consider ourselves a modern and progressive nation. Certainly, there are many things in our lives that are yet far from satisfying the contemporary requirements, and there are some things which are not progressive but your example motivates and stirs us toward new achievements; your example inspires the others and sometimes even fosters the advancement of an entire area.
Examples set by our prominent figures in the areas of education, health care, and science, prove beyond doubt that a person dedicated to his work, can achieve a lot. Today, in this hall gathered are the people of that particular type.
I am happy to perform this most gratifying duty of presenting the awards, especially on the occasion of a holiday which is sacred to all of us.
I congratulate you once again and wish you all the best.
