President Serzh Sargsyan received the Minister of Defense of Georgia Bacho Akhalaya
President Serzh Sargsyan received today the Minister of Defense of Georgia Bacho Akhalaya, who is in Armenia on official visit.
The President stressed the importance of active contacts between the two states and high-level reciprocal visits. He mentioned visits by the Georgian President, Prime Minister and other high-level officials to Armenia several months ago, which provided an opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues related to the development and deepening of the Armenian-Georgian cooperation.
Serzh Sargsyan underscored that Armenia wants to see neighboring Georgia as a peaceful and stable state, and the friendly people of Georgia – building its future in prosperity.
The Minister of Defense of Georgia noted that it was his first official visit to Armenia and assessed his meeting and discussions with the Armenian counterpart as efficient.
