Meeting regarding construction works in Shirak and Lori marzes
A working meeting was held today by the Chief of Presidential Staff Karen Karapetian on the issues related to the state sponsored construction works in Shirak and Lori marzes as well as on the process of implementation of the decisions adopted during the previous meeting in Gyumri. The meeting was attended by the RA Minister of Urban Development, RA Chief Architect, Heads of Shirak and Lori regional administrations, Mayor of Gyumri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Glendale Hills construction company which conducts the construction works, and other officials.
The Chief of Presidential Staff reminded all participants of the meeting of President Sargsyan’s assignment to keep under strict monitoring quality and timetable of the extensive construction works conducted in the disaster area from scare state resources, and provide people with all necessary public utilities and infrastructure.
“Detection of the slightest quality deficiency will result in the suspension of the construction works to relieve the tenants of future problems and related discontent. The state is doing everything possible to solve the vital issue of providing people with housing, thus those engaged in construction and all other responsible persons should not generate problems,” said the Chief of Presidential Staff.
The RA Minister of Urban Development presented to the participants of the meeting the process of housing building in town of Spitak and rural areas, spoke of the measures that were taken toward the elimination of the deficiencies revealed during the construction of Mush-2 neighborhood in Gyumri as well as noted the steps taken jointly with the local administration to exclude them in the future.
At the conclusion of the meeting issued were corresponding instructions.
