President Serzh Sargsyan held a phone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev

Late afternoon of September 12, President Serzh Sargsyan held a phone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

During the conversation, which was initiated by President Medvedev, the leaders of the two countries discussed the results of the Russian President’s state visit to Armenia. They also spoke about regional issues.

Serzh Sargsyan and Dmitry Medvedev discussed steps to further promote constructive and multifaceted cooperation between Armenia and Russia and underlined that the agreements, signed during the Russian President’s state visit, would be crucial for the development of the Armenian-Russian strategic partnership. With this regard, Presidents Sargsyan and Medvedev highlighted the importance of a consistent enhancement of the interaction between the governing bodies of the two states.

Speaking about the NK issue, President Sargsyan highly valued efforts of the President of the Russian Federation aimed at the peaceful resolution of the conflict. Dmitry Medvedev reiterated Russia’s readiness to continue to assist in the search for a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
