President Serzh Sargsyan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Alexander Stubb

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Alexander Stubb.

Serzh Sargsyan said that Armenia attaches importance to the development of the Armenian-Finnish cooperation in bilateral as well as multilateral formats and hailed Finland’s active involvement in the resolution of the South Caucasus issues after the collapse of the USSR. The President of Armenia noted that thanks to its unbiased and constructive position, Finland has become a reliable and trustworthy partner for Armenia.

Minister Stubb said that Finland is ready to use new opportunities to expand relations with our country. He said that his country has been closely following all the developments in the South Caucasus region and with that regard he asked President Sargsyan to present Armenia’s position.

The parties concurred that the best way to establish durable peace in the region and ensure its advancement would be the resolution of the existing issues through a dialogue and establishment of good-neighborly relations.
