President Serzh Sargsyan received Rene Levonian
Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the delegation of the Spiritual Council of the Armenian Evangelical Church, headed by the leader of the Church, the Very Rev. Rene Levonian.
At the meeting the President of Armenia was briefed on the recent activities of the Church, on the Christian and patriotic education, social, cultural and other programs implemented in Armenia as well as the ongoing projects in different areas. Presenting the envisaged for implementation in Armenia and Artsakh programs of the Church for 2009, the members of the Armenian Evangelical Church delegation stressed that along with the benevolent programs the Church is endeavoring to gradually introduce development programs.
The President of Armenia underscored the importance of employing the potential of the entire Armenian nation for the benefit of our country and our people. He valued activities of all Armenian organizations aimed at preservation of the Armenian identity, and their involvement in Armenia’s life. “For us, as a nation, the guarantee of our success is our unity, and our diversity is our strength. In that diversity we have one common goal – development and prosperity for Armenia and the Armenian people,” said the President of Armenia.
