President Serzh Sargsyan received the delegation of the International Monetary Fund
Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) comprising Age Bakker, Executive Director of the IMF, Lorenzo Perez, Deputy Director, Middle East and Central Asia Department, Mark Louis, Head of the IMF Mission to Armenia, and Nienke Oomes, IMF Resident Representative.
The President of Armenia hailed Armenia’s cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the Fund to our country. Serzh Sargsyan reiterated the resolve of the Armenian authorities to take active and practical steps aimed at the mitigation of the consequences of the global financial and economic crisis on the Armenian economy.
At the meeting discussed were issues related to the programs and prospects of cooperation between Armenia and the IMF in the current situation.
