President Serzh Sargsyan received the General Director of the Russian “Rosatom” state corporation, Sergei Kirienko
At the meeting discussed were issues related to the Armenian-Russian cooperation in the atomic energy area.
The two sides expressed satisfaction with the existing level of cooperation as well as the programs aimed at its expansion. They noted that Armenia and Russia have accumulated significant experience in this field.
Speaking about the operations of the Armenian Nuclear Power station, Sergei Kirienko mentioned that it is in an excellent condition and that all the conditions for its safe and dependable operation are being observed.
The parties discussed also the possibility of constructing a new section for the ANP station and spoke about the geo-technical research of the Armenia’s uranium resources.
