Working visit of the President Vahagn Khachaturyan to Syunik marz
President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the newly opened Yeghegnadzor office of the EU civil observation mission in Armenia.
Markus Ritter, the head of the mission, welcomed the President and thanked him for the visit. "Armenia highly appreciates the activities of the EU civilian observation mission," said President Khachaturyan in his speech of response.
Accompanied by Marcus Ritter and EU Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Vassilis Maragos, the President toured the office and familiarized himself with the main target areas of the observation mission's activities.
During the meeting, Markus Ritter presented the details of the monitoring process and its main aspects to President Vahagn Khachaturyan.
On November 1-3, President Vahagn Khachaturyan will be in Syunik marz with a rich program and will pay visits to bigger communities in the marz.
As part of his working visit to Syunik marz, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan held a meeting in Syunik Marz Administration attended by the Marz Governor Robert Ghukasyan, representatives of marz authorities and leaders of the marz's security and law enforcement agencies.
During the consultation, Marz Governor Robert Ghukasyan introduced President to the various programs implemented in the marz, the process of their implementation, the problems that arose, and the overall situation. The representatives of the security and law enforcement agencies reported the operational situation in Syunik marz to the President.
President Vahagn Khachaturyan attached importance to such meetings and discussions. "I also wish to thank all of you for the work you have done, in particular, for meeting our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and addressing their urgent needs in a coordinated manner," the President noted.
During the consultation, President Khachaturyan talked to the attendees in a frank atmosphere, and touched upon topics related to the general foreign and domestic political situation of the country.
As part of his working visit to Syunik marz, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited one of the military units of the Armed Forces performing combat duty.
The President greeted the servicemen and handed over encouraging gifts to a group of officers and servicemen who were most outstanding in the military duty.
President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the Kapan Museum of Modern Art.
The President, accompanied by Syunik Governor Robert Ghukasyan, toured the museum and familiarized himself with the collection.
The President also left a note in the guest book of the museum.
As part of his working visit to Syunik marz, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the studio of the famous artist Hrant Danielyan in Kapan, where a significant portion of the artist's creative legacy is preserved.
At the initiative and with the funds of the Danielyan family, the studio will be rebuilt as a house-museum of Hrant Danielyan which will host a permanent exhibition of the artist's works and open its doors for various cultural events.
As part of his working visit to Syunik, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited Meghri community.
Accompanied by the Governor of Syunik marz and the head of Meghri, the President visited the renovated kindergartens of Meghri and Lehvaz community of Meghri, familiarized himself with the facilities and overall conditions created for children after the renovation.
President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the Sunny Meghri dried fruit factory in Meghri.
Accompanied by the director of the factory, Harutyun Khachatryan, the President toured the factory, familiarized himself with the production, and talked with the employees.
As part of his working visit to Syunik marz, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited one of the modular military units under construction in the marz.
The President familiarized himself with the ongoing works and talked with the workers, as well as with the military leadership, and inquired about the progress of the construction of the new type of military units.
President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the border village of Tsav as part of his visit to Syunik marz.
The President talked with the residents in a frank atmosphere and addressed the issues of concern. Afterwards, President Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the school, familiarized himself with the facilities and talked with the students.
President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the customs office in Meghri as part of his visit to Syunik marz.
The President was met at the customs office by Karen Tamazyan, Deputy Head of the State Revenue Committee, and the employees of the customs office.
President Vahagn Khachaturyan toured the customs office, during which Karen Tamazyan introduced to the President the overall situation in the customs office, as well as the activities already completed and planned.
President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the village of Nerkin Khndzoresk on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The President was met by Syunik marz Governor Robert Ghukasyan, Head of Goris community Arush Arushanyan and Deputy Director of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund Ararat Khlghatyan.
Ararat Khlghatyan introduced to President Khachaturyan the typical houses under construction in the village in the scope of the projects implemented by the Fund which will be provided to families with housing problems.
Afterwards, the President toured around the village and visited the local kindergarten.
The President talked with the residents of Nerkin Khndzoresk in a frank atmosphere, answered their questions and learned about the road to the village and other problems.
As part of his visit to Syunik marz, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited Goris State University accompanied by the head of Goris community and the Governor of Syunik marz. The President was welcomed by the University Rector Tigran Vandunts and Vice-Rector Zareh Grigoryan.
President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with students actively involved in meeting and tending to the pressing needs of the forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh.
In his speech, the President thanked the volunteers for their selfless work and emphasized that the high level of organization and readiness of the students in such a difficult situation had an inspiring impact on all universities across Armenia.
The President talked with the attendees and answered their questions in a frank atmosphere.
