President Serzh Sargsyan visited the CANDLE Institute of synchrotron explorations

President Serzh Sargsyan visited today the CANDLE institute of synchrotron explorations, familiarized with the process of implementation of the CANDLE project, prospects of development and Institute’s programs of international cooperation.

According to the specialists of the Center who apply synchrotron light for scientific research, the CANDLE project is aimed at the creation of the optical emission based on the third generation accelerating-storage complex. The complex, in a wide diapason of long waves, ranging from the ultraviolet to roentgen, will possess capabilities of 40 stations of the powerful, unique luminous flux. It will allow to examine the structure of any material – cell to atom level, i.e. to conduct modern scientific research in the entire realm of the fundamental and applied sciences – physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, ecology, material, pharmacology, nanoelectronics and production of microelements.
