Working visit of President Serzh Sargsyan to Vayots Dzor

President Serzh Sargsyan’s working visit to Vayots Dzor commenced today with the visit to the construction site of a new hotel-spa and recreational center located across the Armenia recreational compound of Jermuk town.

Construction in this resort and tourist center of a new hotel-spa, which will create additional 150 jobs, will be concluded in 2013. The President was informed that the concrete structure of the building has already been installed. Weather permitting, stone works, installment of the roof, enclosure walls, doors and windows, floor and finishing works will start soon. In 2013, the internal finishing works, civil engineering infrastructure and external works will be finished, and the residents of the town and its guests will have the opportunity to receive high-class services in yet another hotel too.

In the framework of his working visit to Vayots Dzor, Serzh Sargsyan visited also Getap wine factory of the Vedi Alko Company. Here, the President was informed about the production capacities of the factory, working conditions and development programs and among them construction in 2012 of the unit for the preservation of wine related products. According to the leadership of the factory, it will allow to store additional 60 thousand deciliters of wine spirits in the favorable temperature regime. The Company employs 47 permanent and 120 seasonal workers, whose average monthly salary is around 73-80 thousand AMD. In 2000, the Company started to grow its own vineyards and various fruit gardens.
