President Serzh Sargsyan conducted a working visit to Ararat marz

President Serzh Sargsyan conducted today a working visit to Ararat marz.

The President of Armenia visited the construction site for the kindergarten in Ayntap community, familiarized with the process and discussed with the responsible officials issues related to the speedy conclusion of the construction, considering the fact that over 250 children of Ayntap are being taken daily on a rented bus to the kindergartens in the neighboring communities. The President was informed that according to the blueprint, the kindergarten will comprise two units and when put in commission will fill the needs of the community which until now didn’t have a kindergarten.

In the framework of his working visit to Ararat marz, the President visited also a stone processing enterprise Manana Grain Ltd in Surenavan. Currently, the Company is constructing a new unit to manufacture tiles made of natural stones. The unit is expected to start test works in April-May. Serzh Sargsyan was informed that the construction of the premises has been concluded, and the major part of the Italian production line has already been installed.

It was noted that the Surenavan stone processing plant is capable to manufacture nearly 240 thousand square meters of natural capstones annually. Currently, the plant employs 132 workers whose average salary is 100-130 thousand AMD. According to the leadership of the enterprise, when the new unit becomes operational the number of job will increase by 80.

Serzh Sargsyan visited also Ararat Group Ltd plant of mineral water production. The Company is set to start production of mineral water and soft drinks, 70% of which will be exported. Today, during the President’s visit tested was the new unit, equipped with the up-to-date European devices.

During the tour of the plant, Serzh Sargsyan was informed that new modern equipment and technologies have been imported to Armenia to set up the unit. The unit will produce workpiece blanks for plastic bottles, polyethylene bottles, covers and boxes, CO2 gas (medical purity), mineral water and lemonades, natural sparkling water. According to the management of the plant, production capacities of the plant allow to fill up to 30000 per hour.

In Artashat town of the marz, the President of Armenia observed the cleaning works for the town lake and the results of the development works at the adjacent territory which were started as instructed by the President’s during his visit to Ararat marz last October.

The town lake, located in a central neighborhood of Artashat, was created in 1969-1970 and is a favorite recreational area for the residents of Artashat. After groundwaters filling the lake subsided, from 1988 and on the lake started to turn into swamp, becoming a serious hazard for the environment and human health.

After the Presidential assignment, in 2011, the Hayhydroproject Institute Ltd. prepared designs and estimates of cost and through the Government reserve funds the problem of financing was solved; in addition, the RA Ministry of Environmental Protection expressed readiness to chip in.

President Serzh Sargsyan was reported that all works related to the clean-up and improvement of the adjacent territories will be concluded in May, 2012.
