President Emmanuel Macron sent a Congratulatory Message on the Occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day

On the occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day, President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron sent a congratulatory message to President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan.

The message reads:

“On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, I am pleased to extend my warmest congratulations to you and to convey the friendly greetings of France to the Armenian people.

The relationship between France and Armenia is unique. It is the product of a remarkable and rich history and has always been nourished by a shared aspiration for freedom.

I have fond memories of my state visit to Armenia in May, which followed the successful European Political Community Summit, as well as of the exceptional welcome extended to us in Yerevan and Gyumri. The strategic partnership established on that occasion should enable us to strengthen our cooperation in all areas and further deepen the ties that unite our two countries.

Armenia is today opening a new chapter in its history by reaching out to its neighbors and turning more decisively towards Europe. You can count on France’s support. France will continue to stand by Armenia.”
