President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory message to President of the Republic of Malta Myriam Spiteri Debono on the Independence Day.

"Armenia attaches great importance to the close partnership with Malta, based on friendly ties and mutual respect on both bilateral and multilateral platforms.

I am pleased to note especially recently developing bilateral relations, which, I am sure, will continue to deepen and strengthen for the benefit of our peoples in the future.

Malta is a reliable partner of Armenia in Armenia-European Union relations. We also highly appreciate Malta's role and its firm commitment to improving the global security environment and strengthening the atmosphere of justice in the United Nations Security Council," President Khachaturyan's message reads in particular.
