President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of India Droupadi Murmu on Independence Day.

President Khachaturyan's letter reads: "India has historically proven the importance of the democratic system in establishing the state and preserving the nation's civilizational values. The image of Mahatma Gandhi, who played a significant role in the modern history of India, is a role model of struggle against injustice for many nations.

The centuries-old Armenian-Indian friendship is based on mutual respect, trust, and shared values.

I am pleased to note that the positions of Armenia and India on issues of regional and mutual importance coincide, further contributing to the strengthening of interstate ties and traditional friendship."
