President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad on Syria’s National holiday.

The message says:

“Armenia greatly appreciates the centuries-old friendship of the peoples of Armenia and Syria, reinforced by numerous cases of mutual support.

I am hopeful that the people of Syria will overcome the current crisis due to their endurance and patience, and will begin to rebuild the country.
