President Vahagn Khachaturyan congratulated the President of Syria on the country's National Day

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad on the country's National Day.

President Khachaturyan's message particularly says: "The friendship of the Armenian and Syrian peoples, anchored on mutual respect and trust, has repeatedly manifested itself by bright examples of helping and supporting each other in difficult situations.

Armenia is ready to maintain its involvement in overcoming humanitarian problems in Syria.

I attach importance to the further expanding and deepening of the existing mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries for the well-being of our peoples."
