President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili on the national holiday, the Day of Restoration of State Independence.
The President of the Republic emphasized that the Armenian and Georgian peoples have been guided by the principles of maintaining good-neighbourly relations, continuing and strengthening close cooperation for centuries. "I must note with satisfaction that today, Armenia and Georgia continue to take consistent care of multi-faceted relations between the two countries.
I am glad that during my official visit to Georgia, we had the opportunity to discuss issues related to the deepening and developing cooperation between our countries. As the Presidents of the two neighbouring and friendly states of the region, we are committed to serve our peoples with dedication, honour, and continue our joint efforts to pass on the friendly relations inherited from our ancestors to next generations," reads President Sarkissian's congratulatory message.
