Under the conditions of the difficult situation in the region, the relations between Armenia and Iran have become more important than ever. President Armen Sarkissian has congratulated the President of Iran and the Supreme Leader

President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani of the 42nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

The message particularly says:

"I am convinced that our friendly relations, which are based on centuries-old traditions and have overcome all obstacles, will continue to develop and strengthen in both political and economic spheres.

In the current difficult situation in the region, the relations between Armenia and Iran have become more important than ever, the rapid development of which is imperative today."

President Sarkissian wished Hassan Rouhani good health and all the best, and the friendly people of Iran peace and prosperity.

The President of Armenia also sent a congratulatory message to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Sayyed Ali Khamenei.

The message particularly says: "In the difficult situation in the world, and especially in our region, Armenia and Iran must consistently develop bilateral cooperation in various fields, the guaranteed success of which is our countries' centuries-old friendship."

President Sarkissian expressed confidence that deepening political dialogue based on respect for each other's religion and culture will profoundly contribute to peace and stability in the region.
