On the occasion of Canada Day, President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to the Governor General of Canada Julie Payette.

On behalf of the people of Armenia and his own behalf, the President of Armenia conveyed congratulations and good wishes to the friendly people of Canada.
“For more than a quarter of a century, Armenia and Canada have been maintaining strong and active cooperation, based on mutual trust and respect. Our countries continue to cooperate efficiently in the framework of different international settings, such as the UN and International Organization of Francophonie.

I note with the greatest appreciation the significant role of the Armenian-Canadian community in enhancing and deepening our relations. Thanks to their daily efforts, our countries and peoples continue to enjoy friendly relations,” the message of the President of Armenia reads in particular.
