President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to President Xi Jinping on the 70th anniversary of the creation of the People’s Republic of China.

“Historical relations between Armenia and China go back to the times of the Great Silk Road when our peoples had formed close trade and cultural ties. Armenia attaches the utmost importance to a steady development of the friendly relations and political dialogue with China as well as to a mutually beneficial cooperation in the areas of economy, science, education, and culture. I reiterate Armenia’s readiness to actively participate in the programs of the One Belt, One Road initiative set by you.

I am confident that through the joint efforts the Armenian-Chinese cooperation in different areas, based on mutual respect and trust, will continue to deepen for the benefit of our two nations,” President Sarkissian said in his congratulatory message.
