President Serzh Sargsyan sends congratulatory message to European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker

President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to Jean-Claude Juncker on the occasion of being elected as President of the European Commission. The Armenian President wished the newly-elected President of the European Commission all the best and fruitful work.

Serzh Sargsyan expressed hope that during Jean-Claude Juncker’s time in office the effective collaboration between Armenia and the European Commission will continue to develop and deepen and will open up new prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation.

“The cooperation with the European Union has contributed significantly to the promotion of reforms in Armenia, in such areas as good governance, democracy, human rights, rule of law, which we highly appreciate.

I reiterate Armenia’s commitment to develop relations with the European Union both in bilateral dimension and in the framework of the Eastern Partnership,” reads the congratulatory message of the RA President.
