President Serzh Sargsyan sent congratulatory message on occasion of 20th anniversary of establishment of Public Administration Academy of Armenia

Two decades ago, the Republic of Armenia entered one of the new stages of its history when the ability of responding to contemporary global challenges, dealing with urgent issues and facing the realities of the new world were of primary importance.

We have a clear and realistic vision for the development of our country which can be realized by building up a modern public service system. It is impossible to make the second generation reforms in the public service system without establishing an effective public administration system and a relevant human resources base. In this regard, I stress the importance of the activities promoted by the Public Administration Academy which was initially called to provide newly independent Armenia’s public administration system with proactive managers having new and fresh thinking and possessing rich knowledge.

In the Republic of Armenia, the rights of each member of our society should be protected and respected which greatly depends on the quality of services being provided by public institutions and local self-governing bodies. It is impossible to fulfill our common objective for achieving qualified public service without qualified public workers. Today, a lot of alumni of the Public Administration Academy are employed in our public sector whose effective activities justify the existence of this educational center.

I congratulate the leadership of the Public Administration Academy of the Republic of Armenia, the faculty and the students on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Academy and wish you productive activities.
